Did That Really Just Happen?!!?!

Okay so I haven't blogged in a while because I'm suuuper busy but I had to blog about this one. So I went to Plato's Closet today and was looking through the skirt rack and I looked ahead and saw a print that looked familiar and I was like NUH-UH! I quickly skipped ahead to that print and lo and behold, there it was..the SWEET LIFE SKIRT!! I was like are you freakin kidding me?! How is this even here? This skirt is so old! The weird thing is, I saw this skirt on ebay in this exact size go for $127.50 just earlier this week.

I couldn't believe my eyes. I was so surprised that this skirt was at Plato's Closet since they usually take shorter skirts from Abercrombie and such. This skirt was the longest one on the rack! Before I went to Plato's Closet I went to Clothes Mentor which is a higher end store compared to Plato's and saw some Anthro pieces as well. I guess the moral of this fairy tale is to go to thrift stores because you never know what you're gonna find! Oh yeah, I got the skirt for a measly $12!!!

  2. What a great find! I love thrifting because you never know what treasures you may stumble upon on any given day. A few Anthro pieces I've picked while thrifting include the Everest Climb Parka, Language of Flowers, Spotlight, and Maeshowe Dresses....all for a ridiculous fraction of their original prices!

  3. That is such a good deal. I haven't look in Plato's Closet that often because I feel it's always abercrombie and hollister. But you are right, moral of the story, I should look a little bit more and I might find something (although I live in a college town so pieces from Anthro might be harder to find).

  4. Yay, what an *awesome* deal! I think I paid something ludicrous for mine on eBay and it still kind of smarts! Anyway, congrats, and I'd love to see you wear it in an outfit soon :)
