Anthropologie Reviews: Slung Slash Tee, Abstract Flower Skirt, Mystery Tabitha Dress, Unconditional Osier Dress, Mystery Maeve Skirt, Dulcie Dress, Tate Boots

Here's another set of reviews for you filled with new arrivals not online yet! Hopefully I'll get to post my birthday outfit from 10/13 before November comes! I'm also debuting my new iPhone 4s with my super cool Hello Kitty case haha. I am loving this phone so that I can upload pix straight to the blogger app! Anyways, hope you enjoy the reviews and if there's anything you would like me to review just ask in the comments!

 Slung Sash Tee, Size small

I tried this tee on in the moss color. The color is gorgeous, but as you can see the cleavage is more than evident. I would still get this top when I'm feeling frisky and want to show the girls off for my man haha. I tried the Bolshoi Cardigan in a small with it to see how a cardigan would work with the top and I love how the the neckline gives the outfit a unique look. The double layer was a bit hard to get on at first, but once it was on I was pretty pleased. Wishlisted for sale.

 Abstract Forest Sweater Skirt, size x-small

This skirt has been high on my wishlist ever since it first showed up on the website. I love sweater skirts and the unique pattern on this one is to die for. I normally go a size down on sweater skirts just because in my experience they stretch throughout the day.  I do wish that the skirt were a little shorter, but overall I love it. Wishlisted for sale.

Mystery Tabitha Dress, size 2 and 6

This dress caught my eye right when I walked into the store. This is the fall/winter version of the Pom Flower Shift. I got the size 6 in the PFS, but returned it because I needed a 4 and the overall print didn't fit my style as much as I wanted it to. Now this dress absolutely fits into my wardrobe! Sadly, the store didn't have a size 4 for me to try on. The left picture is the size 6 which was too big in the waist and the right picture is the size 2 that I couldn't zip up. If you own the PFS it fits exactly the same. I might pull the trigger on this dress with my birthday discount if I don't find anything else. Wishlisted!

 Unconditional Osier Dress, size small

This dress was a bit hard to get on. The sleeves are kind of tight on me, but not enough where I would size up. I own the Spinning Lace Dress, but I love that this has sleeves! The material is lovely and I appreciate the black jersey slip underneath.

I don't own a dress in this color. This would be a fantastic holiday dress. I would love to try on the brown version to see which one I prefer because I think I would get more use out of the brown. The blue is very versatile though. Wishlisted for further consideration.

 Mystery Maeve Skirt, size 2

This is a great corduroy skirt with a twist! I love the cute plaid pattern on this skirt. I squeezed into a 2, but I would want to try on a size 4 to see which is a better fit. I've felt bloated this week, so hopefully that's why the skirt didn't easily zip up :/. The material is soft and of great quality. This skirt is perfect for fall!

Dulcie Dress, size small

When I saw this dress online I immediately fell in love with the gray version. My store only had the ivory so I tried it on for fit. I feel like this skirt makes me look young, especially since I'm so short. I feel like a ballerina in it, but a more modern one. I love the detailing on the bodice. I would like to try the gray version to see if it's a bit more sophisticated than the ivory. Wishlisted for further consideration at sale time.

 Tate Boots, size 8

I own 9 pairs of boots from Anthropologie and these are by far the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. They are super cute and stylish.I'm normally a 7.5 but always size up half a size in boots to fit socks. I feel like I can walk in these all day without even thinking about my feet. I was lucky enough to get these boots during the 30% off sale and they are worth every penny. I highly recommend these boots!!

Anthropologie Reviews: Gossamer Birch Shell, Square Study Skirt, Houndstooth Collage Pencil Skirt, Tsuga Skirt, Verdant Slip Dress, High IQ Corduroys, Pilcro Superscript Cords, Mystery Moth sweater skirt, Enduring Tweed Coat

I haven't done reviews in over half a year it seems. I'm ready to go full force now! If you have anything you would like me to review, let me know in the comments section!

Gossamer Birch Shell, size small

This top went straight to the top of my wishlist when I tried it on. I had no idea it was stretchy! It looks super delicate, but totally wearable. The top is gorgeous on and I can tell it will go with a ton of things in my closet. I would love to own this top in both colors.

Square Study Skirt, size 4
I was unsure about this skirt when I first tried it on. I absolutely love the material, but hate that the squares are sewn instead of a print. Although you can't see it, I love the paperbag waist and the sturdy belt that comes with it. I feel like I can size down to a size 2 because the fabric has give. With this top I am really loving it. I couldn't resist with the additional 25% off sale!

Houndstooth Collage Pencil Skirt, size 4
I've had my eye on this "pencil skirt" the moment it appeared on the website. I love that the material has a velvety touch. I adore this skirt, but it is huge as you can see in the side view picture. I would definitely size down to a 2 or possibly a 0 to wear it higher on my waist.

Tsuga Skirt, size 2
I gasped for air the first time I saw this skirt on the European catalog. I knew I had to have it and was willing to use my birthday discount towards it. I saw that it came in petite and knew that would be the route I had to go since hemming it wouldn't be an option. I saw this in my local store and jumped for joy.
When I had it on it was a different story. The length was fine, so I didn't need a petite size. The material felt like felt to me and I thought I looked like a cheerleader in it. I wasn't fond of the pleats in the back or the sides because it added unnecessary swing to the skirt. Overall, I would buy this at the sale price because the design and color are just too unique to pass up. This skirt screams "me" and I know I can make it work..just not at full price or with the b-day discount.

Verdant Slip Dress, size 4

When this dress first hit sale I wanted it, but felt like I didn't NEED it. I have too many silk dresses now (Take Action, Tupelo, etc.) and didn't think I needed another silk dress especially since the weather is cooling down. I was very lucky to find this dress in my local store with the 25% off sale going on. This is the first time I tried this dress on believe it or not and I love it! Even with my chest size, my normal size 4 fit perfectly because of the stretch in the back. I could wear a cardigan and boots with this and it would be perfect for fall.

High IQ Corduroys, size 0

These cords are perfect for fall. The material is so luxurious and soft. I love the super wide leg because my legs go in at my knees, kind of like a pigeon, so wide legs give my leg length. I folded these under to see how they would look. I size down two sizes because of the high waist and the amount of stretch.

Pilcro Superscript Cords, size 2

I sized down in these cords. The color is absolutely gorgeous. I'm loving rust for fall. I love the high waist and the pockets in the front are to die for. The material is super soft and of high quality.

Mystery Moth sweater skirt, size XS, $88

When I saw this skirt I almost died. I love sweater skirts with pockets! This skirt looks like the cousin to the Marston Sweater Skirt which I love. I took an XS in the Marston as well as this skirt. The side view looks tight, but I know it will stretch. This is a must have for me. If the quantities get low, I will get it at full price. I can't wait for this skirt to show up on the website!

Enduring Tweed Overcoat, size 4P

I couldn't wait to get this skirt in my hands. The unbelievable extra 60% off right when it appeared on the website was a sign that I had to have it. I ordered it in a petite because it looked long. As you can see, it's still super long! I didn't know how this was petite. This coat overwhelmed me beyond reason.

I could have easily sized down to a size 2 because it was a bit roomier in the waist, but hopefully it will work out with thicker sweaters. Although the length is too long, this coat is an amazing winter coat. I love herringbone tweed. I took this coat along with the two corduroys above to the tailor today. I got about 3 1/2 inches off. Fingers crossed I'll love it to pieces!

Anthro Fitting Room Reviews

I don't have much time to go into detail with these reviews, so I'm going to let the pictures do the talking.

Femme Trench Jacket::Style #20230041::$188::Size 4
I definitely could have sized down in this trench. It was roomy, so I had to belt it tighter than I liked. I don't own a trench this color, and although this trench has lovely details I wouldn't buy it for myself.

Autumn Obi Top::Style #19234814::Now $69.95::Size 4
This top on the other hand is amazing! It fits me like a glove and would get it in a heartbeat if it weren't for that price. Darn you, Anna Sui!

Beneath The Surface Shell::Style# 19285527::Now $49.95::Size 2
I loved this top online but sadly the real life version did nothing for me.

OOTD: Casual Comfort + Anthro Fitting Room Reviews

It's 2:30am and I can't sleep! Maybe because I just moved in to my amazing apartment on Monday and am getting used to it. Or maybe because I didn't have school today so I got to sleep in! It's amazing not having school on Tues/Thurs. All the moving in is the reason why I haven't been posting lately. Hopefully when I get settled in I'll start taking pics of my outfits. For now, here's a shot of me when I went shopping for the last time before school kicked off.

 In This Outfit:
Sweater: American Eagle
Pants: J.Crew
Boots: Anthro Gilgarran Boots
Necklace: Forever 21

Look About Blouse::Style #19107341::$98::Size Medium
I never took a second glance at this blouse until I saw it styled with the In the Trees Skirt. I was mesmerized and totally in love. I was scared that this blouse was going to sell out since they kept disappearing every time I would walk into a store. They're even just about sold out online. I actually tried on this blouse before, but it didn't really impress me. Here I tried on the medium which was the smallest size I found. I actually sorta liked the bagginess of the blouse but hoped to find it in an xs.

 Thankfully on a rack in the dressing room I spotted a lonely xs just waiting for me to grab my hands on it! As you can see the fit is way better. I would say size down 1 or 2 sizes because this top runs big. Unfortunately, smaller girls will size out of this blouse unless they tuck it in which is totally doable. The fabric is divine and that print and color! Needless to say this blouse came home with me due to the tragedy of it selling out in my size. Hopefully I can get a PA, but if not I still think it's worth the splurge.

 Hellebore Sweater Skirt::Style #19514165::Now $69.95::Size Small
I came to love sweater skirts after purchasing the Tria Sweater Skirt and the Marston Sweater Skirt. I could tell this skirt would stretch over not so much time so I would say to size down. The small fit, but even when I tried it on for a couple of minutes I could tell I would need an extra small. I love the print and the details of this skirt, but I'm not sure I need another yellow sweater skirt. I have one on hold and will have to read more reviews and check the versatility of the skirt before I bite the bullet.

Fancified Boatneck::Style #19411289::Now $29.95::Size Small
This top got on my special wishlist even before I tried it on. I apologize for this lil number that I am wearing. I think I just didn't feel like putting my pants on to review this top so I wore the skirt with it which looks awful. Back to the top, I thought I would like the lilac version better but it didn't do anything for me. Maybe because I already own the Stripes & Lights Tee. I would definitely go with the navy version. I absolutely adore the lace detailing on the shoulder. The size small worked well and I wouldn't size up or down so I would say this fits TTS.

 Soft-Structured Dress::Style #20180055::$148::Size Small
This dress is probably the only dress that really caught my eye from all the new arrivals. The material is super soft and the dress is like a second skin. Sadly, I felt kind of old in it. It didn't have a very youthful feeling for me. I like the side view, but the front view didn't amaze me. Looking at the pictures now I don't think it looks that bad. I might still consider this on sale because it'd be an easy work outfit. Wow, I think I'm actually talking myself into this one so I would definitely buy this one once it hits sale.

Those are the reviews! Sorry I didn't have anymore. I tried on other things, but they just didn't feel worthy enough to take shots of. Next time I promise I'll take pictures regardless of how I feel or look for your benefit. Please let me know if there's anything you want me to try on as I'll probably be going to my local store this weekend!

Alright, I think I'm ready to go to bed. Time to face my doom of my first day of my last semester of college in the morning. Wish me luck!

OOTD: Sweater Pockets and Lace + Reviews

I think I'm smitten with this color combo: burgundy, gray, mustard, and blue. In this post I'm wearing pretty much the same color combo and I love how the colors go together.

Cardigan: Ruehl
Skirt: Anthro Marston Sweater Skirt
Top: Nanette Lepore
Tights: Grey opaque
Shoes: Chie Mihara
Bag: Marc Jacobs

Now on to the reviews. I visited my college's local anthro on Wednesday to try on and decide which colors of the Loosely Looped Tee I wanted. To my surprise, there was a lonely pair of Pebbled & Primped boots in my size in the sale room! To be quite honest, I didn't pounce on these when they first hit sale because I wasn't sure about the color. I absolutely love the ruffle, but wasn't quite sold since metallic isn't really my thing. Because of my boyfriend's excitement over these, they came home with me!

Pebbled & Primped Boots::size 7.5::$129.95
To my surprise, I loved the color on these. I'm a normal size 7.5, but I could use a size 8 for more comfort but because they are all sold out and I don't feel like searching for an 8 I'll keep these. If they had a heel then I would definitely scope out a size 8. That ruffle is gorgeous!

Loosely Looped Tee::size small::$29.95
In this post I wasn't sure which color to get in this tee. For the longest time I was smitten with the grey version but apparently there's two different versions of the grey and the one below isn't the one I liked. I ended up getting the purple and the green because the colors are so rich and I needed them in my life.
